We are thrilled to announce the release of VertiGIS Networks Editor, Explorer, and Simulator 1.13. With this version, we have expanded the support for Annotations and introduced editing with Group Templates and Preset Templates. Additionally, we have made major improvements to the Tracing, Multiline, and Georeferencing Modules. Â
Discover the key features of this release:
Edit and create feature-linked Annotations
With this release, you can now create feature-linked annotations, ensuring that labels stay directly connected to the features they describe. These annotations also get their rotation from the course of line segments, making them better aligned with the network geometry.
In addition, you gain the ability to edit both free and feature-linked annotations, giving you greater flexibility and control over their appearance and placement.
Start using Group and Preset TemplatesÂ
The new version introduces powerful options for template-based editing, introducing support of Shared Templates such as Preset and Group Templates. With Preset Templates, you can quickly place a predefined collection of features from multiple layers onto the map.
In addition, the support of Group Templates allows you to create and manage collections of related edits, streamlining complex workflows and ensuring uniform results across your projects.
Enforcing licensing in NetworksÂ
Starting with version 1.13, users will now receive a warning message if no valid license is detected. The software will continue to function without interruption, but this notification serves as an early reminder that license enforcement will be introduced in a future release.
Â
Multiline and RoutesÂ
The Multiline module has been significantly enhanced in this release. You can now see the hierarchy of lines during editing, making it easier to understand relationships and dependencies anytime. The module also handles connected network points and line splits during course changes more reliably, ensuring smoother edits. In addition, it is now possible to create multi-lines for non-Utility Network features, extending the flexibility of this functionality beyond utility-specific use cases.
GeoreferencingÂ
The Georeferencing module now includes an “Adjust Roughly” functionality, allowing you to change the size and rotation of a raster layer without creating control points. This feature makes it faster and easier to perform an initial rough alignment before applying more precise georeferencing adjustments.
TraceÂ
The Trace module has been enhanced for better usability and flexibility. You can now disable the “validate consistency” option for inconsistent traces without needing to publish the trace twice, streamlining the workflow.
In addition, we filter the available traces based on their Web Map configuration, making it easier to manage and apply traces across projects.
Attribute Form
The Attribute Form module has been enhanced to improve both usability and compatibility. We now provide improved pop-up configuration support, allowing titles and sub-field lists to be read out more effectively.Â
Additionally, map-service compatibility has been extended, so it is now possible to use Map Image Layers in the map while still working seamlessly with Attribute Forms.
Further improvementsÂ
This release also includes several additional enhancements across the platform. We now provide RTL (Right-to-Left) support, making the interface more accessible for a wider range of languages. Users can remove custom layers from the map more easily, and the Merge Tool algorithm for lines and areas has been improved for more accurate and reliable results.
Other NewsÂ
Stay ahead with the latest advancements. The new release is fully compatible with Studio Web 5.37. Among many other improvements, Studio Web now supports Bulk Attribute Update, making it easier to apply changes across multiple features, as well as CIM Symbol Support, enabling richer and more flexible symbology options
