We’re excited to announce the release of VertiGIS Networks Editor, Explorer, and Simulator 1.16! This version introduces several enhancements across Attachments, Annotations, Dimensions, Editing Templates, and Job Management.
Discover the key features of this release:
Attachments
This release enhances the Attachments module with improved support for external documents. Users can now add links to external attachments directly within the Attachments Panel. In addition, external attachments can now be previewed, opened, and downloaded directly from the feature view, providing faster access to related documents. Links to external attachments can also be removed when they are no longer required.
Annotations
The Annotations module has been extended with new editing capabilities. It is now possible to create block annotations with leader lines, making it easier to associate annotations with map features and improve visual clarity.
In addition, users can now change the subtype of an existing annotation during editing, allowing greater flexibility when maintaining annotation data.
Dimensions
This release improves the workflow for creating and managing dimensions. Orthogonal dimensions in edge extensions can now be created more efficiently: clicking anywhere on the edge automatically selects the corner point as the starting point.
An additional optional setting now allows automatically double-underline the end dimension text, supporting typical styling conventions for dimensions.
Editing Templates
Preset and Group Templates have been expanded with additional functionality. Preset Templates now support dimensions and rotations of point symbology, enabling more flexible template configurations. In addition, it is now possible to configure the data source for Editing Templates globally in the Web Designer, allowing an administrator to predefine this setting for all users.
Group Templates now support snapping for the primary point feature in linear templates, improving accuracy when creating grouped features.
Trench Management
Users can now configure Structure Lines to appear above Utility Network lines, improving visibility in trench visualizations. In addition, the tool now respects the configured data source settings for Editing Templates, ensuring consistent behavior across the different editing tools.
Job Management
The Job Management module has been further improved to support more complex environments. It is now possible to use Job Management when more than one Feature Service is available.
Additional improvements include the ability to delete all versions when posting a job and enhancements to Conflict Resolution, which now supports Esri coded domains.
Further improvements
The Editor is now also available in Dutch, expanding language support for international users.
Other News
Stay ahead with the latest advancements. This release is fully compatible with Studio Web 5.40, which among other improvements includes the new feature of DXF Import.
VertiGIS Networks 1.16 furthermore integrates DXF Export 1.4 and Attribute Form Designer 1.10, which allows now to drag & drop fields and groups; and better support for multi-domain catalogs.
