We’re excited to announce the release of VertiGIS Networks Editor, Explorer, and Simulator 1.15! This version introduces a new module to manage external documents. Additionally, we significantly improved Job Management, Annotation, Cross-section and Dimension Modules.
Discover the key features of this release:
Block Annotations
This release enhances the Annotations module with new capabilities. It introduces Block Annotations, allowing the creation of multiple annotations at one time. In addition, it adds the ability to create annotations with leader lines, making it easier to provide clear context for related map features.
Link external Documents
The new Documents module provides a central entry point for managing documents stored outside the GIS. It supports connections to external document servers or DMS systems, enables linking document entries to assets, and allows managing external document references directly within the application.
Attachments
The Attachments module now provides the option to access external documents from an existing feature, including previewing, opening, and downloading, improving visibility and usability of related documents directly within the feature view.
Cross Sections
This release extends the Cross Sections module with several enhancements. It introduces the ability to create cover stones, change the displayed symbols for pipes, cables, and tubes, and customize the colors of cross-section elements. In addition, it now provides full support for non-spatial objects, improving flexibility and visual clarity.
Dimensions
This release enhances the Dimensions module with new functionality. It adds support for creating "Line Extension" dimensions and introduces the option to add custom lengths during dimension creation, giving users greater flexibility when annotating measurements.
Job Management (Preview)
This component is in Preview. It may change, have limited functionality, and is not recommended for production use. We welcome your feedback to help improve the final release.
This release brings several enhancements to the Job Management module. It includes improved role descriptions for Workers and Supervisors and adds a new option for Admins to add or remove users from Job Management. The Conflict Resolution workflow has been enhanced to zoom to a conflict, display values from Esri domains, and support conflicts involving annotations and dimensions, streamlining the resolution process.
Create Feature
This release enhances the Preset and Group Templates modules. Preset Templates now support non-spatial objects, and retrieval performance for both group and preset templates has been significantly improved. In addition, the Networks Editor now prevents writing empty strings to nullable numeric fields in preset templates, avoiding server-side errors during feature edits.
Relationships
The Relationships module now provides a new option to view relationships of a selected feature, along with options to set relationships from selected features and from selected non-spatial features, improving flexibility and control when managing feature connections.
Further improvements
With this release the Result List now provides the option to display relationships and documents of a selected feature, offering quicker access to related information.
