Meter readings in energy management can be automatically interpolated in 3 different ways. These 3 options for automatic interpolation can be found in Administration | Settings | Configure Products:
The following options are available:
- Active
- Active, if [x] days to the missing meter reading
- Active, if values are present within the reading interval
Effects
Active:
As soon as a meter reading for the 1st of one or more months is missing and a subsequent meter reading is entered, the missing meter readings for the preceding month(s) are calculated via automatic interpolation.
Active, if [x] days to the missing meter reading:
In this setting, [x] is replaced in an additional field by the number of days
As soon as the number of days specified here (or fewer) before or after the time of the missing meter reading is present, automatic interpolation can take place. In the example, if there are more than 31 days between the current meter reading and the missing one and/or more than 31 days between the preceding meter reading and the missing one, no interpolation occurs.
The following table illustrates the automatic interpolation for this setting:
Active, if meter readings are present within the interval:
With this setting, the values used for interpolation must lie within the reading interval for the interpolation to be performed automatically. If one or both of the values used for interpolation lie outside the reading interval, no interpolation takes place. Thus, interpolation only occurs when the value for a single month is missing. If values for multiple months are missing, no interpolation occurs.
The following table illustrates the automatic interpolation for this setting:
