We report requests and issues to VertiGIS Support via our own issue tracking system or a central mail address. Can we use this mail address (identifier in the support portal) for the VertiGIS Transfer Portal as well?
No, this is not possible. It is necessary to use the personal company mail address for each user of the VertiGIS Transfer Portal. Everyone must log in to the Support Portal with their own identifier to request an account. Please refer to the following articles.
Why is this not possible?
Basically, sharing of identifiers and passwords should be rejected in terms of data protection and data security. After an employee has left the company, he or she might still be able to access sensitive data. For this reason, the use of private mail addresses is also not permitted.
In addition to the password, the VertiGIS Transfer Portal is equipped with other security mechanisms that preclude the shared use of an identifier. The user account in VertiGIS Transfer Portal is secured via 2-factor authentication, which requires an Authenticator App. Independent password reset, in case of forgetting it, is enabled via personal security questions stored in the portal.
