Problem:
When trying to create UT objects, the selection box remains empty or desired entries are missing. The required entries in the catalog services exist.
Causes and solutions:
Mapdisplay
Only parameter sets are displayed whose feature class is displayed with a layer in the map display and the layer is also visible.
For composite parameter sets (e.g. service poit connections) all relevant layers must be visible.
The layers must reference to the correct data source. It should be checked if the data sources use the correct database, reference to the correct version and use the user specified in the login. The data sources can be temporarily corrected using the "Switch data sources in map" function. If it works after that, the data sources of the map view should be corrected in the database using the "Switch data source in database" function.
Layer editable
The relevant layer must be editable. Possible reasons that a layer is not editable are:
- feature class or featuredataset is not versioned
- Coordinate system of the layer does not match the coordinate system of the data frame (layer is projected)
- Database authorization to edit the feature class is missing (database role UT_EDIT or UT_ADMIN
When starting the editing session via ArcGIS functionality (Editor toolbar, Editor > Start editing), corresponding warnings are displayed with indication of the cause.
Objectclass permission
Only parameter sets for which the user has the required objectclass permission are displayed. For this purpose, the user must be assigned a role in the UT user and role management that has the authorization to create corresponding objects.
In the case of composite parameter sets (e.g. house connections), corresponding authorizations must exist for all relevant object classes.
Catalog services
In the catalog services, the appropriate value must be set for the parameter set in the menu display, depending on the context in which the parameter is to be visible (general creation, plant schema or both).
License
For utility sector specific objects, a license must exist and be included in the license sequence that supports the editing of objects of the relevant division (e.g. UT-Editor-Water for objects of the utility sector "Water").
