The AssetCreationOptions.GisObject is already an Asset. – VertiGIS Support

Problem:

While placing a net point on a line, following error occurred.

Error placing net point !
Possible causes:
*Unable to create technical data for the given object:
The AssetCreationOptions.GisObject is already an Asset.
Parameter name: creationOptions

Cause:

The edges of the geometric network are not created as complex edges, but as simple edges.

Solution:

Delete the geometric network and recreate it using complex edges.

Note:

Using an ArcSDE creating of the geometric network requires removing registrations as versioned. Furthermore the UT Class Extensions are removed with removing the geometric network. This has to be set after creating the geometric network again.
