  3. Export a Geocortex Essentials viewer as a web map for use in VertiGIS Studio  (10-minutes read)
    1. VertiGIS Studio Web uses Esri web maps to define app content and behavior. Existing Geocortex Essentials map configurations can be migrated using the Export Web Map tool, which publishes a compatible web map to ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS. Configure ArcGIS sign-in, run the export tool, and use the new web map in Web or Mobile apps. Only Esri web map–compatible settings are exported; items like Data Links are excluded. Ensure proper permissions and remove unsupported command hyperlinks if export issues occur.

    1. Users hesitant to move from GE/GVH to VSW due to layer list differences should know that equivalent functionality exists, though it is configured differently and can be hard to discover.
