Question:
Oracle provides via EZCONNECT an easy possibility to connect to a database without a definition of a TNS service name in TNSNAMES.ORA on each client. ArcGIS allows to use EZCONNECT for a connection to a geodatabase. Do UT Editor and UT Asset Manager support EZCONNECT?
Answer:
Yes. The EZCONNECT can also be used in UT applications. The configuration is described in the UT Editor Administrator Manual, section Configuring a multiuser environment.

Hint: Using a different port than 1521, this has to be set in the connection parameters accordingly. |
