Support for Oracle Patches

Question:

We use Oracle in combination with UT for ArcGIS. Is there anything to consider when using Oracle patches? Are recent patches supported?

Answer:

For UT for ArcGIS system requirements, we only specify general versions like Oracle 19, but no specific patch level.

Regarding the support of patches for Oracle, we refer you to the information about ArcGIS.

When using Oracle 19, ArcGIS requires at least Oracle 19.3. The use of newer patch levels is supported, but the software is not explicitly tested with these as well. It cannot be guaranteed 100% that no problems will occur. Before upgrading you should always make a backup so that you can go back in case of problems. If problems occur, they can be reported to support.

Since the Oracle patches also contain security relevant aspects, the use of a current patch level is recommended.
