The outline below will walk users through registration (Step One) followed by the process needed to assign user roles (Step Two). Hosted Clients and Clients who utilize Active Directory will use the 'External Login' option, and should jump to directly to Step Two.
Step One: Registration
To create a user within Web Console 2, first have the new user access the WC2 home page. Once the site loads the new user will click the link titled 'Register New User':

The new user will then be met with the following form. The user can create their own user name and password, but all other fields should be filled in with accurate information. Please have the user take note of the response to their challenge question, this will be used to reset their password in the future if it is forgotten.
Once this form is complete the user should notify their WC2 Admin, who will now need to assign a role to the new user.

Step Two: User Role Assignment
After a new user is created (through the registration process or active directory) the WC2 Admin will log into Web Console 2 and select the M4 button (to the right of address search), and then click security.

After this security section loads, the Admin will select Users. A list of users will load into the right side of the window, and the Admin can scroll to find the new user within the list. (Note: Any user who is not assigned a role will have a red shaded user box).
Once a new user is located the Admin will select the cog wheel next to the new users name, clicking 'Edit Roles' will cause the user box to flip and display a list of roles.
The admin will then select all roles that should be assigned to the user. Role responsibilities and abilities can be found in the Roles tab that is found within the Security window. Admin is the only universal role found in all project, and it is the only role that has role assignment privileges.
Once the users roles have been selected (a check mark is displayed), the Admin can then click the green button to save and the new user should have access to Web Console 2. Please have the new user test to ensure their permissions are set correctly.
