The Scale of an element determines it's size on the map. The current active input scale is configured just below the Active Layer Dropdown in the upper-lefthand side of the Application Window. Using the Edit dropdown and selecting Change > Scale prompts the user to select an element. Once selected, the element's symbol will change to match the active scale setting.
Command: INPUT_SCALE
Button:
Purpose
The active input scale, along with the global and font scale) determines the relative size of a point or text element. This command sets the active input scale.
Instructions
1. Enter INPUT_SCALE followed by the scale you would like to use. Default is 1, but for some projects (especially those that might be quartered or have been quartered previously) it's best to use a scale of .5 or .25.
**Note: After rescaling a text element it's best practice to ensure the size fits properly for a single element both in the M4 project and the Web Console 2 project, as they may display differently depending on project configuration. Once the scale is confirmed to match expectations, you can continue updating elements individually or with a selection set.
