One of the features of VertiGIS Studio Mobile is the ability to go offline, and allow your field workers to do their work without requiring network access. Functionality is proved by the VertiGIS Studio Go app, which is built on top of the Esri Maps SDK for .NET.
Thus, VertiGIS Studio Mobile’s Offline Esri capabilities are controlled by the Maps SDK for .NET runtime license level: Lite, Basic, Standard, Advanced.
A complete list of what is possible at different licensing levels is available from Esri: https://developers.arcgis.com/net/license-and-deployment/license-levels-and-capabilities/
We acquire a .NET runtime license using one of two ways:
When Signing In
When you sign in to your Portal or to ArcGIS Online, an ArcGIS Identity is passed to VertiGIS Studio Go. This Identity has a user type. Different user types grant different levels of .NET runtime license level access. These .NET runtime licenses are granted/renewed automatically each time the Esri Identity signs in. These licenses are valid up to 30 days.
Assigned Device Licenses
Your VertiGIS Studio Mobile App may be pre-configured with a Runtime License Key. You can get a Runtime License Key by purchasing an ArcGIS Runtime deployment pack. This method allows continuous disconnected use beyond 30 days.
