Release of the New GEONIS Interface for LEG

We are pleased to make available the first version of the new GEONIS interface for LEG.
The interface enables the export of data from GEONIS according to the official LEG specification (Swisspower / www.leghub.ch) and thus supports a standardized transfer of network and connection information.

Important Notes

The LEG interface is delivered as an executable application and can be used directly on a GEONIS or ArcGIS workstation.
A valid ArcGIS license is required for execution, as the ArcObjects framework is used.

Installation & Procedure

1. Copy the files LegExport.exe, LegExport.xml, and LegExport.bat to a GEONIS workstation.
2. In the file LegExport.bat, the paths to the database and the configuration must be adjusted.
3. Start the application:
   • via the GUI or

   • in batch mode, e.g., with:

     LegExport.exe -db=geonis.gdb -qualifier= -configfile=legexport.xml -exportfile=exp.csv -logfile=log.log -debugdgf=0

Support

The GEONIS-LEG interface is provided free of charge to GEONIS maintenance customers.
Please note:

• There is no entitlement to support for this module.
• Error analyses (e.g., regarding network connection points or data quality) can be performed by VertiGIS, but are chargeable services.
• Feedback on the interface can be submitted via form.
