Release GEONIS Desktop 2023 Patch 5 and GEONIS server 2023 Service Pack 1

Updated

We are pleased to provide you with Patch 5 for GEONIS Desktop 2023 and Service Pack 1 for GEONIS server 2023. With this release, bugs have been fixed and some improvements have been implemented.

Important notes

This release includes a collective patch for GEONIS expert as well as patches for the individual solutions.

The patch for GEONIS expert is delivered in the form of a full setup. This means that GEONIS expert is installed completely and contains all previous patches.

The patches for the solutions are available as .zip files with the adapted configurations. Older patches of version 2023 are not included and must be installed beforehand. Please note the update procedure.

  • Uninstall GEONIS expert
  • Install GEONIS expert 2023 Patch 5
  • If ArcGIS Desktop 10.8.2 is used, GNE_2023_0_P1_ArcGIS_10_8_2_Support.msp must also be executed (included in the delivery).

Solutions

The content of a patch can look like this:

The folders can be copied to the existing media folder and the configurations can be overwritten. If customer overloads exist for the corresponding XML files and configurations, changes must be made manually in the overloads.

If there is an update folder in the .zip, a database update must be carried out.

GEONIS expert

  • A problem with crashes during network tracing with incomplete map display has been fixed.
  • The display of a relation box of self-related n:m relationships has been fixed.

  • An error in the installation routine caused a problem when calling up reports. This error has been fixed.
  • A problem with special characters in the WebOffice login name has been fixed.

GEONIS Sewer System

  • Some improvements and error corrections in the 
    SIA 405 2015 and VSA DSS 2020 interfaces.
  • SIA405 Sewer System 2015 import: It is now possible to control whether texts should be imported directly into GEONIS tables or only into VSA tables.
  • General improvements and bug fixes.

  • SIA405 LKMap 2015 export: Dimension for manholes is now exported.
  • The sometimes occurring empty display in the cross-section manager has been fixed.

  • SIA 405 Protection pipe 2012/2015 import and export has been added.
  • An error in the creation of the expansion cushion has been fixed.
  • SIA405 District Heating 2015 export: A problem with lines with angles/curves close to 180 degrees has been fixed.

All other software components and solutions do not require a patch and are compatible with GEONIS 2023 Patch 5.
