Over the past several years, a significant backlog has accumulated due to gaps in the processing workflow. To enhance our ability to provide quick and targeted support to our customers, it is crucial to keep the support backlog manageable. This ensures that any changes in ticket status are immediately noticed and addressed appropriately, thereby improving the overall efficiency and responsiveness of our support services.
For this reason, and in preparation for upcoming adjustments to our ticket handling procedures, we will be reviewing and cleaning up our backlog over the next few weeks by closing certain tickets.
- Specifically, tickets that have not been updated for several years and pertain to older software versions, such as version 6.76, will be closed without prior consultation. This helps to focus our resources on more current and relevant issues.
- Additionally, tickets that are still active but have been forwarded to the development team for further processing will also be closed within the Support Center. It is important to note that closing these tickets in the support system does not mean the issue has been resolved. To keep customers informed, VertiGIS provides a live view into the development system through changelogs.vertigis.com, allowing users to track the progress of their tickets in real time.
The VertiGIS Product Changelog offers a clear and organized way for organizations and individual users to monitor all development tickets. It displays not only the current status of each ticket, but also additional details such as the software version involved and the release date of any fixes or updates. Find additional information about our VertiGIS Product Changelog in Support Center.
Starting in 2026, we will adopt the global process for bug tracking, ensuring a standardized approach to managing and resolving issues across the board.
If a ticket is accidentally closed, it can, of course, be reopened and subjected to a more thorough review to ensure that no concerns are overlooked. Our support team will help you with any question.
