We are excited to announce the next version of Networks Locator (EU) packed with powerful new features, usability enhancements, and important updates. Here’s what’s new:
New Features
Prohibited Areas - No Locate Requests Possible
- You can now define areas in which locate requests are not permitted.
- If a map sheet intersects a prohibited area, it is immediately highlighted, and submission is blocked until the conflict is resolved.
- Prohibited areas can be configured individually for specific user roles.
Locked Areas - Requests are redirected to review mode
- The user experience has been improved: intersections with locked areas are now instantly highlighted as map sheets are moved.
Cockpit
- Attribute filters are now reflected directly in the map view, making it easier to find requests—especially in high-density areas.
Web Client
- Intersection layers (for both prohibited and locked areas) can now be visualized on the map—previously, they were only used behind the scenes for intersection checks.
- Added support for the Studio Web measurement component.
Technology Updates
- Layers for visualizing prohibited and locked areas can now be secured using an API-Key (requires ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4+).
- To protect the key, a new portal proxy container has been introduced. It securely forwards requests to the portal, keeping the API key hidden from the client.
- Updated the user management to Keycloak 26.2.5
- The Networks Locator HELM chart now defines default cpu and memory requests and limits to improve cluster stability. These defaults can be customized via the values.yaml file.
network-locator-config:
resources:
limits:
cpu: "1000m"
memory: "1281Mi"
requests:
cpu: "500m"
memory: "32Mi"
