How to Add a Secured WMS to VertiGIS Studio

This article explains how to add secured WMS to portal in order to be fully functional in VertiGIS Studio Web and compatible for using with the VertiGIS Studio Printing Engine.

Secured WMS with Token/API Key

To add a WMS secured with a token / API key, you'll need to add the token as a Custom URL parameter when adding the WMS in Portal.

Secured WMS with Basic Authentication

Similiar to adding a token secured WMS, when adding a WMS using Basic Authentication, the user and password have to be added as custom parameters when creating the Item.

Additionally, the provider must be added to Web's configuration in order for ESRI to trust the domain with credentials. This can be done using either Item Manager or editing the Configuration in VSW Designer (CTRL + Shift + E).
