We’re excited to announce the release of VertiGIS Networks Editor, Explorer, and Simulator 1.11! This version introduces the new Annotation module and includes enhancements to Editing and Split functionality.
It is important to note that this version is not yet positioned to fully replace existing in-market products.
Discover the key features of this release:
Create Annotations
With this release, you can create Annotations based on a fixed point position or baseline. Annotations help visualize key asset details with precise placement directly on the map, improving clarity and communication.
We also ensured that annotations are correctly passed to the GP-based Printing Engine, enabling high-quality print output with dimension details included.
Improvements for Editing
Networks Editor now automatically locks a version when it is opened, ensuring that multiple operators cannot make conflicting changes simultaneously. Users also have the option to manually release a version lock when needed. This lays the foundation for the planned Undo/Redo functionality in the upcoming release. In addition, new options allow to save or discard edits, or to reload the map content via a refresh button.
Split
The Split tool now supports to split polygonal features. We also consider existing correct handling of relationships, associations, terminal attributes and Cross Sections during split, ensuring data integrity is maintained.
Multi-line
You can now create multi-lines with trench hierarchy and configure key parameters such as search buffer and gap size to fit your needs. We've also refined the user interface to make adjusting the course of a multi-line more intuitive.
Dimensions
Networks Editor now supports to display a dimension layer directly from the WebMap, without needing to manually enable it in the panel. We also ensured that dimensions are correctly passed to the GP-based Printing Engine, enabling high-quality print output with dimension details included.
Additionally, you can now easily edit or delete whole orthogonal dimension groups—including all abscissas and ordinates—saving time and enhancing your flexibility and control over dimensioned data.
Tracing
The Trace module is now available directly in Networks Editor, allowing you to run trace operations as part of your editing workflow. This integration streamlines analysis and decision-making without switching between applications.
Merge Tool
The Merge Tool now supports merging attributes based on a defined Merge Policy, such as “Sum values” or “Area-weighted”. This ensures that attribute data is combined correctly during the merge process.
Expanded Language Support
VertiGIS Networks è ora disponibile anche in italiano.
VertiGIS Networks is now also available in Italian.
Attribute Form
We've introduced greater flexibility referencing catalogs with different column names—making integration with diverse data sources easier. Additionally, you can now save catalogs as separate portal items, improving reusability and data management.
