How to configure the VertiGIS Printing Widget 2.4 for Experience Builder

This article can help you to configure the Printing Widget 2.4 for Experience Builder and also describes how the Server URL must look like in the Add Server URL section to get the Widget working.

Requirements

• Please make sure you use the Printing Engine: Printing Help - VertiGIS Studio Printing Engine
• Please also make sure that you are using the right ArcGIS Enterprise version.
  • If you want to install the Printing Widget 2.4, you have to use ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5

Register Printing Widget in Experience Builder

You can find an instruction of how to register your widget in Experience Builder here:

1. Sign in to Portal for ArcGIS as an administrator.

2. In Content, click Add Item and select Application. The New Item window opens.

   Configure the item:

3. Set the Application Type to Experience Builder widget.

4. In the Manifest URL box, enter the URL to the manifest.json file for the widget you want to register.

   You can either use the copy of the manifest.json file in your local Printing deployment or, if your portal has Internet access, you can use the public copy: https://static.vertigis.com/exb-widgets/printing/[version]/manifest.json

   1. You can use the manifest-URL https://static.vertigis.com/exb-widgets/printing/2.4.0/manifest.json. See also here.

5. Click Next.
6. Enter a meaningful title in the Title box, for example: VertiGIS Studio Printing
7. Click Next.

Then you should see a new item in your content list in Experience Builder. You will see the widget in Experience Builder Enterprise Edition at the bottom of the widget panel under the Custom section. With drag and drop you can use it in your App:

Don't forget to add one or more Print Templates and select the Map.

Add Server URL

You can use the same Printing Service URL as you would use in VertiGIS Studio Web (Services > Printing Service), but without the "/GPServer" at the end.
