A machine with an ArcGIS Pro Python environment is required to run the VertiGIS Studio Printing Installer. The Python environment included with ArcGIS Server can cause issues during installation because of potential licensing or permission constraints.
It is therefore common practice to run the Studio Printing Installer on a separate machine equipped with a Python environment from ArcGIS Pro, and then specify the target ArcGIS Enterprise machine during the post‑installation configuration process.

Python environments are for the most part quite compatible (and backwards-compatible) across different versions. However, when installing VertiGIS Studio Printing Engine, using associated version of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise (e.g. 3.2.x and 11.2.0, see table above) helps to prevent any problems that might arise due to incompatibilities of the Python versions that are involved. For more details see: What do the CIM2 and CIM3 suffixes mean for the VertiGIS Studio Printing Engine installer? |
