Problem:
You have installed the the VertiGIS Studio Print Engine (Download, Install Documentation) and while the Post Installation failed with an error (for example: NOK :: Installation failed: 'Published Service does not return version information) the VertiGIS_Printing_Tools geoprocessing service has still been published to your Esri ArcGIS Portal as shown below:
However, you are not presented with the option to use the new Print Layouts in the on-premise VertiGIS Studio Printing Designer version 5.23 or greater that you sign into using the same Esri ArcGIS Portal:
Workaround:
The settings option is not present because the post installer was not able to add the necessary tag and typekeyword to the VertiGIS_Printing_Tools GP service item. You can use VertiGIS Studio Item Manager (requires a subdomain to be registered to your Esri ArcGIS Portal), or ArcGIS Online Assistant to add the required tag(s) and typekeyword(s).
- Log into Item Manager or AGO-Assistant
- Find the VertiGIS_Printing_Tools item
- Ensure that the "VertiGIS Printing Engine Tools" typekeyword is present in the item's JSON - if not please add it
- Ensure that the "Designer Pro" tag is present in the item's JSON - if not please add it
- The typekeywords and tags should appear as shown in the screenshot below:
- Save your changes to the item
- After refreshing your browser you should now see the Settings option in your Print Designer as shown below:
Note: Only the owner of the VertiGIS_Printing_Tools GP service item in ArcGIS Portal will be able to toggle the ArcGIS Pro Layout Mode. |
