Resolve Unique Constraint Violations

Problem:

I got following error message.

Underlying DBMS error [ORA-00001: Unique Constraint (UTARC.A***_PK) violated] [UTARC.FCL_XYZ]

Especially when compressing the database and when reconciling and posting versions, this error message has already been encountered. In rare cases, this error message already occurred when editing versioned data.

Cause:

This is caused by inconsistencies in the delta tables of the versioned tables.

Solution:

ArcGIS provides geoprocessing functions to check versioned feature classes and tables for inconsistencies and also to clean them up. Please refer to the notes in the ArcGIS feature descriptions.
