feature sometimes doesn't draw but is always clickable
I have a peculiar data/service/viewer issue?
In Geocortex Essentials 4.14, I have a hosted feature service polygon layer that has a feature that sometimes draws on the map and sometimes doesn't. It is sporadic but easily reproducible by zooming in/out a few times. It can draw or not draw at any scale. The issue does not happen in AGOL or ArcGIS Pro. It only happens in Geocortex Essentials. Even when it doesn't draw, I can still click, identify, and launch the map tip, it's just that the symbology is not visible on the map. However, other features with this symbology do draw. I have confirmed that the layer doesn't have a filter, or special settings in the site that would override the service settings or symbology. I have added this layer to a fresh test viewer and site without making any special adjustments other than enabling map tips and confirmed it still happens. Thoughts?

Is this layer rather detailed? Line features with a lot of vertices etc? Only going from memory here but I had a similar issue years ago and I resolved it by changing a couple settings that extended the timeout on draw time on the layers and allowed GXE to reduce the vertices or smoothed them out? Sorry not much help but may give you more ideas on where to look.

Oh interesting. This feature was originally a circle (so yes, many vertices). I did try setting the timeout and refresh interval to over a minute just to check. I also changed the feature to a rectangle, still no luck. How did you “allow GXE to reduce the vertices or smoothed them out”?
Thank you for your response!

I think Steffen Helgerod means the maxHighlightableGeometryVertices and geometryGeneralization settings on the Highlight module.
