Geocode service: Allow to disable the use of location parameter in requests against the suggest end point.

Hi,

When geocode results are turned on in the global search function in VSW, the location parameter is always passed along in the request to the geocode endpoint. This causes suggested results to be influenced by the location, giving the user matching results closest to the current extent of the map when searching. There should be an option to turn this off as this limits the use of the search. I would like the results to be based only on the best match of the search (alphabetically), regardless of the location. Please add the ability to disable the use of the location parameter within the geocode service settings in VSW.

    @... would this request be addressed using VertiGIS Studio Search and a configuration to turn off or ignore the location parameter?

    Vince Wruck, Cam Barnard I think this setting would be in Web, but I'll let Cam comment.

    Correct - Web is the software interacting with geocoders, VertiGIS Studio Search does not interact with Geocoders.

    Temporary workaround:
    Modified the geocoder so all features have the same position, and adding a workflow to “search” that handles the results+highlighting.
