The new VertiGIS Transfer Portal

VertiGIS launches the Transfer Portal

Why are we doing this?

The data of our customers and partners are especially important to us! Their protection requires continuous adaptation of our services. For this reason, VertiGIS is introducing a new portal for secure data exchange, accessible at https://transfer.vertigis.com. The system will gradually replace our existing data transfer systems (e.g. datenportal.aed-sicad.de, filetransfer.connectmaster.com, sftp.vertigis.at, etc.).

What about data protection?

It is based on the Cerberus FTP server and runs GDPR-compliant in Germany in the Open Telekom Cloud. Data is stored encrypted and scanned for viruses. The maximum file size per file is 16 GB. Transferred data is to be deleted again from the transfer server after successful download by the recipient; automatic deletion takes place after 30 days (some areas are excluded from this).

A separate, protected area is created for each organization. The upload and download of data is encrypted in the browser (https). All employees of an organization with access to the new system have access to the data of your organization. Data from previous data exchange systems will not be transferred.

What needs to be considered?

To use the service, a personalized company account is required, which can be requested using the following form. Prerequisite is the registration in the VertiGIS Help Center.

Access is secured with 2-factor authentication via a time-based one-time password (TOTP). This can be generated either using an authenticator app on the smartphone (e.g. Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator), a hardware-based device (e.g. REINER SCT Authenticator, etc.) or, if necessary, with a desktop app on the computer. We recommend the first two, as only here is a separate transmission path available). The 2-factor authentication must be set up during the first login.
