In mid-March (starting 03/16/2026), we will introduce email address verification in the VertiGIS Support Center.
This announcement answers the following questions
Why is VertiGIS making this change?
What is changing?
When a new account is created in the VertiGIS Support Center, an email with a link to verify the account will be sent to the specified email address. After clicking the link, the email address is verified. Afterwards, a password can be set for the account in order to log in to the Support Center.
If a new ticket is submitted without being logged in to the system, an email with a link to activate the account will also be sent to the email address. Only after confirming the link will the ticket be created. The same applies to tickets submitted via email if the sender address does not yet exist in the system.
|
Note: We recommend signing in to the Support Center before submitting a ticket. This way, email address verification is not required. In addition, typos when entering the email address can be avoided. |
If additional email addresses are specified as Cc in tickets and they do not yet exist in the system, the recipients will also receive an account activation email.
Why is VertiGIS making this change?
We are making this change to improve data security and data protection.
What do I need to do?
No action is required for existing, actively used accounts. If you have previously logged in to the VertiGIS Support Center with your email address, or if your email address is linked to a ticket as a requester or Cc, your account is automatically verified.
For new accounts, the email address must be confirmed once as described above in order to activate the account. Only then can you log in to the Support Center and submit tickets.
|
Note: When introducing your own ticket system or changing the email addresses used in it, problems may occur if your system does not properly process the account activation email. If necessary, accounts can be manually verified by VertiGIS. If you have problems, please contact VertiGIS Support through another user. |
