When analyzing problems in GEONIS Desktop, the GEONIS Log can provide valuable services, as it can log in detail the steps taken during processing:
The GEONIS Desktop Log can be found by default at the following path:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Geocom\GEONIS\logs\GeonisDesktop.log
The configuration file for adjusting the log level can be found here by default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Geocom\GEONIS\expert\GeonisLog4Net.config
In line 30 the log level can be adjusted.
During problem analysis it can be temporarily set to ALL. If ERROR is set, FATAL is also considered. If INFO is set, then WARN, ERROR and FATAL are also considered.
We recommend to increase the log level only temporarily during the problem analysis and to reset it to the default value (WARN) afterwards.
