Response:

You need to install Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server, which can be downloaded from Microsoft.

Important:

Current ArcGIS Pro versions support more recent Microsoft ODBC Driver or need them for current versions of SQL Server. If the Microsoft ODBC Driver 18 for SQL Server is installed in parallel, the access from ArcMap/ArcCatalog will not work anymore.
