Usage of feature templates in UT for ArcGIS

I would like to use the feature templates in UT for ArcGIS. Is this possible and what is there to consider?

Answer:

Using the feature templates is possible for features that are not part of an UT object.

ArcGIS stores the settings in the layers. Because in UT for ArcGIS the layers in the map views are stored in the database, after making adjustments to the feature templates, the map views stored in the database must be updated so that the adjustments are permanently available.
