Invalid Esri Runtime license

Problem

When starting Geonis Gear the following error message appears:

Invalid Esri Runtime license. Please see log for more Information.

Causes

• Only the GEONIS license has been activated, but not the Esri Runtime license.
• An older Gear version than licensed is installed

Solution

• Enter the Esri Runtime in the file GEONISgear.exe.config → https://resources.geocom.ch/documentation/protected/others/2017/application/GEONIS_gear/2017/DE/webhelp/index.html?gng_lizenzierung.htm
• Install the version which has been licensed
