MSP file cannot be started

Problem

When installing a GEONIS expert patch no installation starts, instead a Windows installer dialog opens.

Cause

• Faulty link
• Windows Installer Service is not running

Solution

Start the MSP file in the command prompt (start as administrator) with the following command:

msiexec.exe /update package.msp
