No Map Content Is Available

In case you can run your WebOffice 10.8 SP2 project (application starts) but it does not display any map content then check the firewall settings first. Because the firewall on the most OS is active by default, you have to open the port 6080  in order to use the map services hosted by ArcGIS Server. Therefore open the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security settings and define inbound rules for the port 6080.

Note: In case you have installed the Web Adapter for ArcGIS Server it is not necessary to open the port 6080. Instead, check that port 80 is opened.

Now, refresh the WebOffice 10.8 SP2 project and check if map content is visible. If problems still exist, check ArcGIS services in a next step. Start the ArcGIS Server Manager locally (on the ArcGIS Server installation machine) by entering the URL https://<server name>[:<port>]/arcgis/manager/ (e.g. http://myserver:6080/arcgis/manager/) into your browser. Log-in to Manager using the primary site administrator name and password that was set during the site creation process.

In ArcGIS Server Manager go to the Logs tab first, click Settings and set the log level to e.g. Debug. Do not forget to undo the changes afterwords since the debug log level may cause a significant decrease in performance.

Open the Windows Services and restart the ArcGIS Server service so the just set log level has impacts.

Now go back to ArcGIS Server Manager and set the log filter e.g. to only show the logs of a certain service or a certain time, etc. Choose the concerning service and sort the messages according to the log level. Look for messages containing "is invalid" and repair the service as necessary.

Example log showing that the layer "Edit.TEST.Bahnhoefe_1" is invalid. Therefore, no map content or queries for this layer would be available in WebOffice 10.8 SP2
