VertiGIS Studio Activity Packs extend the capabilities of VertiGIS Studio Workflow by providing pre-built activities that connect to third-party systems, web services, and business applications. Activity Packs are developed and distributed through GitHub, where customers can access a growing library of community and VertiGIS-supported integrations.
To simplify adoption, Workflow includes built-in Activity Pack management that allows administrators to install, update, and remove Activity Packs directly from the product. This creates a more integrated experience while maintaining the flexibility and open nature of the GitHub-based distribution model.
Activity Packs are particularly valuable for organizations looking to connect Workflow with external systems such as asset management, document management, CRM, and enterprise business platforms through REST APIs and other integration methods. Examples include integrations with Cityworks, IBM Maximo, Salesforce, Laserfiche, Cartegraph, and others.
While Activity Packs are available as part of the Workflow experience, they are primarily intended as developer-focused tools for extending and customizing integrations. As a result, support levels may vary between Activity Packs, with some being community-driven and others maintained by VertiGIS. Customers should review individual Activity Pack documentation and support information before implementing them in production environments. VertiGIS Professional Services is available to assist with these integrations.
Key benefits include:
- Rapid integration with external systems
- Reusable, pre-built Workflow activities
- Simplified installation and lifecycle management
- Access to a growing GitHub-based library of connectors
- Reduced custom development effort for common integrations
Activity Packs help bridge the gap between Workflow and the broader enterprise ecosystem, enabling organizations to automate business processes and connect GIS with critical business systems.
