This issue impacts environments where a VertiGIS Studio Analytics 1.7 agent is installed to an ArcGIS Server machine running Windows Server 2019. It does not impact older versions of Analytics or newer versions of Windows Server.
The issue prevents hosted ArcGIS services from being overwritten (republished), and it may corrupt or delete a service when an attempt is made to overwrite it.
A fix will be released in a future version of Analytics. In the meantime, recommendations are:
- Do not install Analytics version 1.7 if your ArcGIS hosting server uses Windows Server 2019
- Do not upgrade an existing installation of Analytics to version 1.7 if your ArcGIS hosting server uses Windows Server 2019
If this has already been installed, possible solutions are:
- Upgrade the ArcGIS hosting server to Windows Server 2022 or 2025
- Stop or uninstall the Analytics agent service
- Stop the Analytics agent service temporarily while updating hosted ArcGIS services
Note: this issue can also prevent the VertiGIS Studio Print Engine from being upgraded.
