To generate a multi-page print using the VertiGIS Studio Printing Engine, it is necessary to create a layout package, which is a collection of print layouts that get grouped together in one bundle. It is not currently possible to design layout packages using the web-based Printing Designer, but you can get started with them in VertiGIS Studio Desktop for ArcGIS Pro by following these steps:
- Launch ArcGIS Pro. If you have VertiGIS Studio Desktop installed, you should see a number of tabs along the top which were previously unavailable.

- Click on the Studio Printing tab and insert a new layout with the desired dimensions.

- Add a Main Map map frame and all other elements, aside from the legend, that you would like to have in your print. Make sure you add the map frame from the Studio Printing tab, not the Insert tab - it should display the text "WEBMAP_MAP_FRAME" when added to the layout.

- In the Studio Printing tab, click on the dropdown under Web Layout Template in the Share As section, and select New Layout Template.

- Give the layout a name, summary, and tags. Choosing a name like "{chosen name} Pkg - Main Page" can make it easier to keep track of what the layout is for. Optionally, set the save location, sharing level, and favorite marker.
- Set the Layout Template Type to "VertiGIS Page: Standard" and keep the Print Types set to just "VertiGIS Standard Print".

- Click the Analyze button, and if no problems are detected, click the Share button.
- Using the New Layout button in the Studio Printing tab, insert a new layout with the same dimensions as the previous layout.
- Click on the Insert tab. In the Map Surrounds section, click the Legend button and draw a legend on the layout.
- Click on the Legend tab and select the style you like from the Legend Gallery dropdown.
- Back in the Studio Printing tab, click on the dropdown under Web Layout Template, and select New Layout Template again.
- Again, give the layout a name (e.g. "{chosen name} Pkg - Legend Page"), summary, tags, save location, sharing level, and favorite marker.
- This time, set the Layout Template Type to "VertiGIS page: Legend". Keep the Print Types set to "VertiGIS Standard Print".

- Click the Analyze button. An error saying "Legend layout '{layout name}' is not valid" should appear.
- Expand the error and click the meatball menu (three dots) next to the "A layout of type legend needs a main map frame which is not visible" message. Select "Add a hidden main map frame to the layout."

- Analyze the layout again, and press the Share button when ready.
- In the Studio Layout Manager panel where you shared the layout, click the Packages tab, then the Create button.

- Give the package a name (e.g. "{chosen name} Pkg"), summary, tags, save location, sharing level, and favorite marker.
- Click the Layouts tab, then search for the main page and legend page you shared earlier. You may need to click "Find more..." to get the layouts to load.
- Hold down the CTRL key and select both the main page and the legend page, then use the down arrow button to add them to the layout package.
- Once added to the layout package, the legend page should display a dropdown menu. Use it to select the main page as its parent layout so it knows what map to draw the layers from.
- Click the Analyze button. If there are no problems, click the Share button.
- Save your project and exit ArcGIS Pro.
You have successfully created a layout package that supports multi-page legends.
When you go to add the layout package to your app in VertiGIS Studio Web Designer, make sure to do so from the ArcGIS Pro Layout Packages section in the Printing component, not the ArcGIS Pro Layouts section.
