Communication of the GIS Web Apps under SAP GUI 8 no longer works – VertiGIS Support

Problem:

Communication between the GIS web apps and SAP no longer works correctly (use cases: Location of cable damage, house connection and feed-in location).

Cause:

It no longer works due to a change in SAP GUI 8.

Solution:

For the communication to work under SAP GUI 8, the text SAPEVENT must be replaced by sap-cust://sap-place-holder/SAPEVENT in the JSP or HTML file of the web application in order to adapt the URLs.

Important:

After the change, the app can only be run with SAP GUI 8; the app would no longer work with SAP GUI 7.
