Task:
Case: When creating map displays, you want to specify a particular tree view that has certain group layers expanded and others collapsed.
Case: After creating or customizing a map display, suddenly many or all group layers are expanded. You want to change that.
Reason:
The tree view has no influence on the display. It is therefore not synchronized with the table of contents and thus with the map.
The table of contents is often used when configuring map displays. The synchronization between the 'Map displays' and 'Table of contents' is used for this. However, it is always the configuration in the view 'Map displays' that is stored.
Solution:
The challenge is to remember that the tree view is not synchronized and therefore only the tree view shown in the view 'Map displays' is stored.
Note: The tree view will be saved completely (for all group layers) when the (global) 'Save' button from the menu bar of the map display configuration window is used. The context action 'Save Layer Data' saves only the layer information for the layer on which it is executed. This is usually not enough for the tree view. |
