Allow SharePoint file linking in Details

On the detail page of a component or a location, the user can add files under the "Documents" tab. However, the user can only add disk-stored files.
The idea is to allow the linking of files saved on SharePoint or similar storage tools.

Would there be any reason not to use an Attribute of type Internet hyperlink

The customer already uses this as a workaround, but they want to be able to keep all the documents under the Documents tab, instead of using an attribute for some of them.

This used to be something that CM was cable of. The attached screen used to have WEB as an option.
