[5.44] Open workflow specified in Run Workflow in the designer

In the Workflow Designer, add an option to the Run Workflow activity that opens the referenced workflow in the designer. Obviously, this can only work if the URL is a static string, and not a variable. I can live with that.
What I do now, is copy the workflow ID from the URL textbox, and modify the designer's URL to include that ID (i.e. #workflow=[the_id]). This will open the workflow in a new designer tab, while leaving other already opened workflow tabs alone. That is exactly how I want it to work.
Similarly, add an option to the Run Subworkflow activity that navigates to the referenced subworkflow in the same designer.

Good idea. I think using the double-click to open the Workflow (like opening a form) would be best here.
For the Run Subworkflow activity, I'm more inclined to think it should “Navigate to” the subworkflow step - i.e. select it - rather than opening it. Otherwise, it might seem that the subworkflow is defined within the Run Subworkflow.

Sounds good to me!
For the subworkflow case, it might make sense to have a Navigate Back option as well. Not sure how hard that would be?

Today's release of 5.45 includes double-click on the Execute Function activity (formerly Run Subworkflow) navigating to the contents of the Function activity. (formerly Subworkflow)
It also has back/forwards navigation. You could even just press Alt-Left Arrow to go back.
