Layer Presets - layers are not being hidden when swapping between presets
Hi Everyone,
I'm not getting expected behaviour when using layer presets. I have my initial state for the map where all the layer extensions except for 1 are not shown in the layer list. In my layer presets I have the ‘included in layer list’ setting set to ‘No changes’ for all the layers I want to keep hidden. However when I swap between my layer presets, layers that were made visible as part of that layer preset then stay on, even after swapping to another layer preset when they should not be visible in the map (based on them being hidden in the initial layer list state).
I thought the ‘no changes’ setting was honouring the initial layer list state. Is that not how its meant to work?

were you able to figure this out? I'm also noticing some weird layer theme/preset behavior.

to answer the Belinda Kerr , no, I think ‘no change’ refers to the state the layer is in when you pick the new preset…
to answer/agree with Chelsea Rozek , mine are being wacky too…I have a couple layers that are set to ‘show in layer list’ in every possible place, but they get hidden even when picking a group that is set to show them…
I have a group called ‘default’ which is supposed to bring everything back to how the app loads, but if that's the first one I click, it'll actually HIDE layers that are on and are set to TURN BACK ON!?!?!?!?!?

Hi, we are having a similar issue, where the layerpresets are not in line with what is on or off in the layerlist. The app.json will mention visible true but in the layerlist the layer will be set off?

Thank you for your question! As Eric Kriener mentioned, the "No Changes" setting means "no changes from the current configuration." In other words, if you use a layer preset to modify the layer list, using a separate layer preset with the "No Changes" setting will honour the configuration of the first layer preset, not the default configuration of the app.
As for the other problems, if you are seeing buggy behaviour with your layer presets, please open a support ticket with us so we can log the issue. Workarounds for these types of things (buggy layer extensions, layer presets, task settings, etc.) tend to work best on a case-by-case basis, so we are better equipped to help you if we know the details of your specific app(s).

I just ran into this same issue. Everything was working fine, this change must have been pushed through on a recent update. So all existing layer presets were impacted. The previous logic worked……
