Berend Veldkamp I'm planning to do something similar, although not literally a manually controlled list. I've found that a “recently used” feature is often useful. It's a bit more passive than manually adding/removing things from your own list of favourites, but I find that often it adapts quite well to what you're doing.

There are two parts to this:

    1. Adding things to the “recently used list”. This can be done whenever you drop a step onto the canvas or a form elements onto the form.
    2. Using the list. This can be done when you view the toolbox (Maybe with a collapsible “recently used” section at the top.) or when you filter the results - the recently used items would be filtered first and show above a divider of some kind.

Nice. And if needed, I can always drop 100 instances of an activity onto a workflow to include it in the MRU list :-)

Berend Veldkamp Haha! That's funny timing. I just read your comment while literally thinking about limiting the size of the list. Re-adding the same one would just move it up the list, rather than having duplicate entries though.

I might also expose ways to remove individual items or clear the list too.
