Resymbolize layer through VS Workflow

In VS Mobile, we want to resymbolize a layer through a VS Workflow. Currently, there is no command to do this. Whereas other Geocortex and VertiGIS Studio products offer commands:

• Viewer command "ResymbolizeLayer" in Geocortex Essentials which can be used to change the symbology.
• The "layers.set-symbol" command in VS Web, or by changing the renderer in a Get Layer activity using the Get Renderer from JSON activity.

For VS Mobile, these commands are not available. And changing the renderer in the layer is not possible, since the "Get Layer" activity doesn't return the renderer.

We would love to see more capabilities in VS Mobile in the future that would make resymbolizing layers possible.
