Adding a javascript/typescript function to feature description

Hello! I am trying to figure out how I can add some additional functionality within a feature description. See screenshot below.

I was hoping to embed a JS/TS function where appropriate in the source code that will be called when the link is clicked on the feature description. This function will need to be able to access metadata such as the {project_number} and {objectid}.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've gone through help files but I am unsure how to get started, primarily where I can add the JS/TS code.

  One more thought… I guess I could type the function within the feature description editor but this does not seem appropriate.
