Not Supported - different users with different access to some layers in main web map
We have some layers in our web map that are being consumed by our VSW app with very specific permissions. This means that only a few people are authorized to see the layer. Unfortunately, VSW doesn’t seem to be able to handle this and will not show the web map (containing layers with different permissions) to any users who don’t have permission to see every single layer in the web map.
It would be nice if VSW could support different permissions that are set on layers in Portal which are all in the main web map for VSW apps.

I agree with this recommendation and would love to see this feature in VSW.
We used this feature in Geocortex Essentials Manager to simplify access to our application, reducing the need for several applications for each service we offer. This feature allowed us to build one master site and manage feature and layer access within the permission area of the Geocortex Essentials manager.

Not sure this is controlled in Portal webmap as I'm new to all this, but if not, then yes - we would love to see this in VSW, as it was key for us in Essentials to restrict layers based on user roles/groups in Active Directory.
