Workflow to act upon users results

I'm trying to build a workflow for Geocortex Essentials and I want it to act upon a result set the user has already defined. Is this possible? If so, how can i iterate over the results to see if the layer they need to select is in the results and then if it is, iterate through all the records?

  You can use the Get Selected Features activity from Geocortex Essentials Workflow.

  As far as I know there is now equivalent activity for "Get Selected Features" in VertiGIS Studio Worfklow.

  Is this a task better suited for VertiGIS Studio Workflow TypeScript SDK? if so, is there a  forum for development using the SDK?
