This change is by designer, not a bug. There are a number of reasons that the standard "number" input is problematic so we have followed the pattern used in App Designer and changed to use a text-based input element.

When you have a number input, you might accidentally change the value by scrolling the mouse wheel to scroll the page, not realizing that it has focus. Similarly, you might try to use the up/down cursor keys to scroll the page, not realizing that the number input has focus and the value changes.

Using a text-based input eliminates these problems. It also allows us to improve our support for localization and number formatting.

A similar change will be coming to the Workflow Designer in v5.37.

Where do you test this (workflow sandbox, VS Web or other viewer, on-premises or SaaS environment) ?

I din't check in Mobile, but are the + and - buttons also removed there? (I would be glad.)

Thanks for the explanation, Ken Lyon. Understandable choice, although in our case the opportunity to quickly increase or decrease the number was a key part of the functionality.
