'[WF: activity not implemented] The gcx:wf:app::PublishEvent activity has not been implemented.'
I am converting a Essentials app to Vertigis Studio Web (VSW) and our workflow calls the "Publish Event" activity. However it is not supported in the VSW.
Is there a workaround for this activity?
I am using this activity to call these events "StartFeaturePlacementEvent" and "StopFeaturePlacementEvent"
These events are not supported either. If I cannot port the code over, I am not sure I can use VSW for future development.

Jenny had this answered via a Support ticket, but for future readers and anyone who is curious, unfortunately there is not an alternative for the Publish Event activity in VertiGIS Studio Web. Currently, events are configured in the VertiGIS Studio Web SDK, so they cannot be set by a command or workflow (though we did add a new event listener in version 5.25 that allows commands and workflows to be triggered by events).
In the case of complex workflows that make use of many viewer-specific commands and/or interfacing, there is a high likelihood that they will not transfer over one-to-one between Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 and VertiGIS Studio Web. Though we do our best to ensure as many activities as possible are compatible between the two, they have greatly different frameworks so direct matching can be difficult. However, in situations where things don't align one-to-one, there may be an alternate, simpler solution thanks to the very fact that Web and Viewer for HTML5 are different. This can be leveraged to create workflows specifically for the newer products with less effort than it would take to translate them over.
