Workflow Errors - featureset serialization failed

I have a workflow which allows the user to select for data layer features within a selected county.  But I get the aforementioned error. 

Any ideas?

  Can you run the workflow from the workflow simulator to determine which activity is throwing the error?

  I set up the crossdomain and clientaccesspolicy xml files for the server.  They currently allow open access.

  But I still get the error with the workflow in the simulator.

  It looks like you need to set your Return Geometry field in your second query task. If left blank, the query task will opt to leave out geometry data from the result features in layerResult.
