What GeoRSS standards are going to be supported?
I see from the roadmap video that GeoRSS is coming in Geocortex.
Do we have any idea of the standards that are going to be supported?
GML? Simple? ATOM?

Hi Peter,
GeoRSS will be supported in next release of G eocortex Essentials and the Viewer for Silverlight . In this release we will support Simple encoding and W3C geo vocabulary. Both ATOM and RSS will be supported but there will be no support for GML quite yet.

Will GeoRSS layers be able to be reported on in a layer report?

Another thought, how will you specify how the GeoRSS feed is symbolised? We are consuming a GeoRSS feed which is lines (road closures).

GeoRSS layers will not be reportable on layer reports (not in this first version at least). Regarding symbolizing a line, GeoRSS layers support lines and polygons. In fact you can have a mixed-geometry feed with lines and polygons and points in the same feed.
The way it is being symbolized is that you can configure a brush color for each feed and that will be how the lines painted on the map.

Thanks Dan,
GeoRSS supports additional properties such as Feature Type (see http://georss.org/simple#Additional_Properties).
Will we be able to symbolise the one feed differently based on Feature Type value?
My example is a Road Closure feed where there are five statuses of road closure (e.g. 4 wheel drive only, load limits apply, open with caution, etc.).
Thanks
Stephen

Additional Properties are not supported in our implementation of GeoRSS layers.
There will be only one type of symbolization per feed, except for the feeds with mixed geometries.
